From The Shining to... The Rocky Horror Picture Show?!

October 21, 2018

Love them or hate them, scary movies feel especially spooky around the Halloween season. We had to find out with this week’s edition of In The Mix, what our DJs’ favorite scary movies are! Check out our Fright Guide to find scary haunted houses and everything else to keep you occupied this Halloween season.

Elizabeth Kay (5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.): "The scariest movie of all time, I saw when I was a little kid and it was Arachnophobia. I still hate spiders. I was sitting on the couch with my cousins and in between us was my littlest cousin. I didn’t realize my other cousin took her headband off and went around the little cousin and started hitting my head with her headband. I freaked out! That night I couldn’t sleep, I swore spiders were all over me. Still don’t like spiders today.”

Tony "Radar" Hess (5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.): "My scariest movie of all time, the one that freaks me out, is The Shining! ‘Here’s Johnny!’ Ohh, that movie just freaks me out. ‘Your money is no good here Mr. Torrance.’ Although the bartender is a ghost. ‘Come play with us Danny… forever, and ever…’ The Shining, ooh, I’ve got creepies all over!”

Dave "Producer Dave" Stein (5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.): "My favorite scary movie has to be the new It. Man that movie is horrifying and I can’t even wait for It 2 to come out next year. Love scary movies!”

Molly Cruz (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.): "My favorite Halloween movie – this is a hard decision for me because I love Halloween and I love scary movies, but – I have to say, any of the Halloween movies are [great]. I’m really excited for the new one to come out! I’ll be seeing that one like ASAP!”

Aaron Carreno (1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.): "I don’t have a ‘scary ‘ Halloween movie, but I have a Halloween movie, I will tell you that! It’s the Rocky Horror Picture Show! ‘It’s just a step jump to the left and then a step to the rii-iii-ight! Put your hands on your hips.’ Anyway, I’m not going to go that whole thing. Watch it if you haven’t – cult-classic, it’s good!”
