Jamie Grabowski is a Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) bus driver and is the latest to join the ‘above and beyond’ ranks of their employees. She noticed two dogs (a Pit Bull and Doberman Pinscher) wandering in and out of the street around midnight as she was wrapping up her shift.

She called out to the dogs and welcomed them onto her safe and warm bus while she contacted dispatch and looped in the Milwaukee Police Department along with Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC).

Through their joint effort, they were able to reunite the two pups with their family that had gotten out of their yard just 2.5 miles away from where Grabowski first spotted them.

According to the MCTS video on youtube, the family was “extremely grateful” to all parties involved in bringing their pets back home to them before the holidays!
