We absolutely love the new Netflix series, ‘Tidying Up with Marie Kondo’ – so much so, that for this week’s "In The Mix" - we asked our DJs for any tips they have on keep their own homes clean and organized. We’d love to hear what helps you stay ahead of the mess at your place, let us know on Facebook or Instagram @991TheMix (@991WMYX on Twitter).

Elizabeth Kay (5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.): "Tidying up is all about getting organized in the junk drawer and I just did it. In fact, I used one of those utensil dividers that you would use for your knives and your forks and your spoon. That is in my junk drawer. So, now my pens and my scissors and my post-it notes are all neatly put away in my drawer!”

Tony "Radar" Hess (5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.): "Tips on how to tidy up, well I’m always tidying up, I’m always cleaning. But my wife could tell you a whole bunch of things that she does. She likes to organize things in all the different tuberware or rubbermade kind of containers; labels them and stuff. So, she’s really the queen, I kind of just follow the lead. So, if you have somebody in the house like that, follow their lead and they will keep you straight!”

Dave "Producer Dave" Stein (5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.): "You gotta clean up immediately after you’re done using something or wearing something, like dishes! When you eat something, go do the dishes right away, that’ll keep your kitchen tidy. If you’re using something in the living room, put it away when you’re done. That’s what I do and it works perfect.”

Molly Cruz (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.): "I don’t always practice what I preach, but I really try to do this often, my tip for tidying up my house is: don’t wait to do it on one day. Don’t just like pile it in and like, ‘ahh, I’m going to do and fold all the laundry on Sunday.’ Because the pile gets bigger and bigger and bigger and the dishes pile up and pile up. I try to like work through it, tackle a couple of little projects throughout the week. Do the big stuff on the weekend. Even while I’m cooking, I try to clean while I’m cooking instead of leaving a pile of dishes and ingredients and, you know, spices all over. So, I think, cleaning throughout the week and while you go is much better than pushing it off to on day.”

Aaron Carreno (1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.): "I grew up in a really strict house as far as staying clean and organized and making sure when you walk in to the door, you put your shoes away. So, my home is always really, really clean and one of the biggest things that I would recommend is you start with just clearing the countertops in your home to stay tidy and organized so that you can visually see where everything is at and then clearing the floors. I like to sweep and dust, vacuum probably a couple times a week. As far as what we did recently, because we’re watching Tidying Up the Netflix series, we actually got rid of a lot of clothes. It’s funny that you’ll go through all of your wardrobe and realize that you don’t wear probably about 50% of the items that you have in your home. Why keep it? I mean, less clutter, less stuff, easier life.”
