You'll Make This Dish For Every Occasion

January 11, 2019

Sometimes you're looking for a dish that you can make a mass quantity of, and then freeze. Well this is a perfect dish for that. As a matter of fact, the ramiken I brought in for Foodie Friday was a FROZEN ONE. It's Shepherd's Pie!!!(Or Cottage Pie depending how picky you are.)

SO i hear that if you use lamb it's a SHEPHERD'S PIE and beef is a COTTAGE PIE. SO this technically is COTTAGE, but you can use lamb too.

Ingredients

Carrot
Celery(optional)
Onion
Peas
Corn
Bay Leaf
Beef Broth
Potatoes
Cheese
Flour

1) Cook your carrots & onions (Optional celery) for a few minutes. Add some garlic after a couple of minutes.

2) Start cooking your beef

3) When the beef is close to down sprinkle 2 tbsp of flour and mix around, then pour in some beef broth. Add corn and peas and bay leaf and let cook for a little longer on low)
(This is making the "gravy" for the pie, right with the mixture)

4) Make Your Potatoes however you like and then start layering Meat mixture then potatoes and then top with cheese
REMEMBER TO TAKE OUT THE BAY LEAF!!!!

5) Bake for 15-20 minutes at 400 and badaboom badabing, you got an amazing meal!

ENJOY!!
