Here's the scene: You're on your couch, watching TV, but focusing more on your phone because that's what we do. And then, all of the sudden you hear "Are you ready kids? Aye Aye Captain!". You instantly drop your phone and focus your attention on the screen because you know that Spongebob is on! Theme songs have a knack to draw you in, and that's the point. Get the viewers attention right away and then keep them there. These are my TOP 5 TV THEME SONGS OF ALL TIME. I'm young remember, so these may not be the same as yours, but you'll definitely know them!

5. Dexter
This song doesn't actually have any lyrics, but the music is so catchy. If I hear this music anywhere the first thing I think of is Dexter. And I feel like there doesn't need to be any lyrics to help with the vibe of this show. Upbeat music, watching a guy prep for his day, it just so happens he's a serial killer...

4. Spongebob Squarepants
"Are you ready kids? Aye Aye Captain" Even if you don't watch the show, you know the song. Spongebob has been on TV for 20 years, can you believe that?!?! And the theme song never gets old. Young, old, boy, girl, everybody can get excited for the sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea!

3. Friends
If you say you don't know this song, you're lying. "I'll be there for you" 5 words that will forever go dow in history. You may be a Seinfeld fan more than Friends, but I guarantee you can rock out to this song at any time. Not only one of the greatest theme songs, but one of the greatest SONGS! Where are the Rembrandts now though...I couldn't tell ya!

2. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
This is another one of those songs that isn't just an amazing theme song, it's a great regular song as well. And I'm not talking about the edited version, I want the whole song with "orange juice out of a champagne glass". Will Smith rapping, which he is already known for, on the TV show that skyrocketed him to being a god in the acting world. It's also another one where even if you don't watch the show, you know the theme song! I bet if you were to go in public and say "Now this is a story..." somebody would finish with "all about how my life got flipped turned upside down." You know, I actually DARE YOU TO DO IT! I'm very confident you'll find somebody to finish your lyrics.

1. Pokemon

With the recent resurgance of this franchise, I have been very into this song. Yes, it's the theme song for a kids show about catching monsters in a ball in a fictional world (great plot), but the message in the song is so great too! "I wanna be the very best" Anybody can relate to that. Doesn't matter if you're a kid or an adult, an athlete or an accountant. Trying to be the best and achievie goals in something everyone does, and that's what this song is about. And Yes, Ash is becoming the very best Pokemon trainer, but he's striving for greatness, and that makes this song my number 1! Go watch Pokemon on Netflix or play one of the many video games in the franchise! Pokemon for life!

Honorable Mention - Rugrats

Another song with no lyrics, but this show played a huge part in my life. It taught me what it's like to be a "growned up" and the importance of friendship. And there is nothing better than hearing the "ba-baaaaa" at the end
