A Sweet Dessert For Thanksgiving

Butterscotch Pudding Cakes

November 16, 2018

Do you remember Market Day when you were a kid? I always loved getting the chocolate chip pudding cakes. So I tried to recreate them, but in butterscotch form. I researched a bunch of different recipes and came up with my own brilliant one! Here it is, maybe you'll make it for Turkey day?

PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 350

INGREDIENTS:

CAKE:
1 1/4 cup of flour(give or take)
2 tsp Baking powder
1 egg
4 TBSP(half stick) of butter at room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup of milk
Good pour of vanilla
salt
Assorted chocolate and butterscotch chips (you decide how much)

SAUCE
3/4 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
good pour of vanilla
good pour of maple syrup
3 tbsp butter

Cream together the butter and sugar in stand mixer with paddle attachment

Add in that egg an some vanilla

Now that you got that wet mixture done. Add in your flour and milk. ALTERNATING a little flour, a little milk, a little flour. a little milk, until a batter is formed

SECRET: coat your chocolate chips/butterscotch chips in flour before putting into batter to help prevent from melting. I promise, it's real.

spread that batter in an 8x8 sprayed pan

SAUCE TIME:
Combine all ingredients in pot and bring to boil over medium heat.

Pour that sauce over the batter then put in the oven!

After 30-40 minutes in the oven...it will be done and look like this...

And then you make it look like a pretty portion with a scoop of ice cream like this...

ENJOY...WE SURE DID!
